This is a very effective procedure, but also very invasive with potential for serious complications. This, plus the high cost and long downtime, means this treatment doesn’t appeal to everyone!

Recent research has confirmed that there are millions of people in the UK who would like to remove small, stubborn deposits of fat in areas such as inner thighs, love handles, man boobs or back, but are reluctant to undergo complicate liposuction surgery.

Cryolipolysis leaves the skin and muscles in perfect condition, with just the fat cells being eliminated! These dead cells are then metabolised by your liver and removed naturally like all other waste products.

When the machine is removed, you can expect slight redness and tenderness for a few days. You will then start to see the amazing results over the next few weeks as the appearance further improves.

So, what do we do? 

Well, first we gently warm up your desired treatment area to encourage your blood and fat to separate. Next we carefully freeze away your fat cells – without the need for high risk invasive surgery.

Our non-surgical liposuction machine uses advanced freezing technology to selectively target and dissolve fat cells through a gradual process, keeping the surrounding tissues intact. When fat cells are exposed to precise cooling, the process of apoptosis over the next month or two gradually reduces the thickness of the fat layer. The cells in the treated area are gently absorbed through the normal metabolism process of the liver. After the Cryolipolysis, as an addition, we use shockwave treatment that helps the fat that has experienced cell death, leave the body faster, and also effect more of the fat layer to release more fat cells from the system, Shockwave treatment also improves and tightens the skin in the area!

The science behind it all

Scientists in the 1970s discovered that the subcutaneous layer of fat went through a cell death process when chilled to certain temperatures. It has since been confirmed that fat cells are more susceptible to cold than skin, nerves and muscle, as the liquid in the fat cells is converted into solids at particular low temperatures.

The Institute of Aesthetic Medicine in Glasgow have confirmed initial findings from research by Dr Darren McKeown’s, which are extremely exciting. These finding show results of 11% to an astounding 59% fat reduction in just one treatment, with further reductions in subsequent treatments.

The Results

A mere 7 days after your non-surgical liposuction procedure the cells start to alter their shape, indicating the desired trauma to the cell has commenced. A week later apoptosis should be underway and you will be delighted to notice a slight reduction in your fatty deposits.

However, to experience the full results of a treatment, it can take up to 2 months. But as with most non-surgical cosmetic treatments, some clients will experience a noticeable reduction within just two weeks!
