RFUS Exilis  uses a non-invasive radio frequency technology plus ultrasound to deliver energy to various depths in the tissue. By combining these two technologies, one treatment can achieve body sculpting, fat reduction and skin tightening. Controlled heating and cooling during treatment allows the provider to treat deep tissue all the way up to the superficial layer.

How does Exilis Ultra differ from Coolsculpt and Kybella?
With Exilis Ultra there are no needles, no pushing or pulling of tissue into a vacuum device like Coolsculpt, which using freezing to crystallize the fat (cryolipolysis), and no pain or numbness that is often associated with that treatment. Exilis Ultra can be easily used on different body areas, whereas Kybella is currently approved only for the submentum (under chin area). Kybella and Exilis Ultra can be combined over time to help contour the skin and fat under your chin.

How does RFUS Exilis differ from Ultherapy?
For facial lifting and rejuvenation, we still consider Ultherapy to be the gold standard. Exilis Ultra is sometimes an option for patients who are not ready for Ultherapy or those patients who would like to extend their Ultherapy results.

Who is a good candidate for Exilis Ultra?
RFUS Exilis is the ideal treatment for both women and men who live a healthy lifestyle are looking for cosmetic improvement on their face and body. Exilis can be used anywhere on the body to reduce fat and tighten skin, including the abdomen, the tricep upper arm region, thighs, saddlebags.

What does a Exilis Ultra treatment feel like?
Most RFUS Exilis patients find the procedure comfortable and therapeutic. It feels similar to a hot stone massage; you feel the treatment working. The treatment is performed in a lying position so you can easily relax during the procedure.  There is no need for any type of pain medication, neither topical nor oral, before or after the treatment.

When will I see results? How long do they last?
The results are seen immediately and also in the weeks following the procedure, and at least two (often three or four) treatments are needed. Positive results are usually reported two to four weeks after the last session and continue to improve for the next few months following the treatments.

How many RFUS Exilis treatments will I need? 
Three treatments is the minimum. Four treatments may be recommended. Treatments should be spaced 7-10 days apart. There is no harm in maintenance sessions after the initial treatments as desired, because of the easy, non-invasive nature of Exilis Ultra.

What is the downtime? 
Exilis Ultra is a no downtime procedure giving you the freedom to return to your daily activities immediately post treatment.
What do I need to do before my first Exilis Ultra treatment?
There should be no facial or body hair in the area, and all piercings removed from the area. We will take pre-treatment photos.
